We had a bit of a scare this morning at the adoption hearing. The Judge did not like the way the relinquishment had been done and would not sign the adoption decree. A miracle happened and we were able to get new relinquishment paperwork done (thanks to fast work from Matt's old family and their lawyer) and submitted to the Judge this afternoon. She signed the adoption decree! This is a very simple version, but I am too wiped out to share all of the details. We're just so grateful that it all worked out and Matthias is legally our son. What a great day!!!
