When Snow Slowly Falls

This morning Talley announced, "It's snowing!" Sure enough, it was. The kids were very excited. I certainly don't feel ready for cold weather, snow, muck and always worrying if the kids are adequately dressed, but hey--it is what it is.

However, as I was returning home from dropping the kids off at school and was driving into our neighborhood, I was struck with awe and calm. There is something magical about the first snow fall. And I love when the snow is falling thick, silently and slowly. It comforts me. I'll try to remember this feeling in February and March, when winter is d r a g g i n g on. ;-)
