Ezra

When they found Ezra, he was almost dead. He was basically a skeleton of a baby. They showed us photos of him when we were in Ethiopia adopting him that were much worse than this one, but they did not give them to us. They were scary. He still looks bad in this one, and it is a good reminder of what a miracle it is he is even alive. He is a fighter and a survivor. He was about 20 days old in this photo (his Ethiopian name is 'Yosef' and so we used to call him 'Joey' until he came home and we renamed him 'Ezra'):
