Walking at 8 Months

February 12, 2012--8 months old

Henry started to walked unassisted a week before he turned 9 months old. So yes, he was walking at 8 months. He took about 4 steps and then fell, got back up and kept repeating that process. He is now 10 months old and running. Really. Of course he trips once he really picks up speed, but he is doing it. The funniest part is when he runs away from us because he has something he's not allowed to have. Tonight (4/2/12) he was running from Kenyon with my Kindle Fire in his hands. He tripped and dropped my Fire. Luckily he and the Fire were fine. Naughty baby! ;-) (I let him "color" on my kindle and he loves doing it. I have a couple of different apps he uses. But he likes to be 100% in charge and so he was trying to escape Kenyon's supervision tonight and took off running with it. He's a rascal.)

Most of the walking documenting was in video form, but I do have a handful of photos to share. Of course it just looks like he is standing in them. ;-)

And here he is, looking adorable, by the stairs. ;-) He loves climbing upstairs. We really have to keep an eye out for him. (We have a bench in front of the stairs, but sometimes he moves it out of the way and makes it up to the first landing before anyone realizes what he's done. He is always pleased as punch when he does this.)

Henry's lookin' chill.
