Pioneer Beth

Last week Beth went on a special church activity for the youth (14-18). It is called Trek and is an opportunity for young men and young women to experience what Mormon pioneers went through when they travelled to the Salt Lake valley via handcarts. She was gone for four days. While on Trek, she had to wear pioneer clothing, and they tried to follow the pioneer experience as closely (and safely) as modernly possible. Beth had a great time. I missed her so much while she was gone. In fact, I bawled like a baby when I dropped her off at the church the first morning. I am glad she was able to participate in Trek and look forward to a time when my other children can also do it.
