Farewell Party

So, the day after we finalized Oscar's adoption, we packed up our last moving truck. We haven't mentioned it here yet, but our family has now moved to Colorado. At the end of July, Tim's friend from high school told him about a business he was starting and offered a position to Tim. We thought about it and prayed about it and felt that it was the right thing for our family. We made the preparations over many months. At long last we were able to get renters for our home (at first we tried to sell with no luck) and found a home to rent in Colorado (which was harder than we thought it would be). Now we are finally here and are going to be spending our Christmas vacation unpacking and organizing (fun!). So many big changes for our family this year. We're exhausted but happy and so very blessed. On Saturday, the 21st, we went to our favorite restaurant, Tony Caputo's with family and friends and had a "farewell party".

We left early Sunday morning and after a 12.5 hour drive--bad weather and bad roads--we made it safely to our new home. It's going to be a small Christmas, but we are looking forward to focusing on the true meaning of Christmas and being grateful to be a happy and healthy family.
